The employees, shareholders and management of the ERCOSPLAN companies would like to cordially invite you to our anniversary symposium in celebration of our double anniversary

60 Years of Potash Engineering Made in Erfurt
20 Years of ERCOSPLAN Group of Companies

from 8th to 10th November 2012 in Erfurt.

With this anniversary symposium, we would like to commemorate two events in our company history and pay tribute to the impetus that they have given to the German as well as international potash industry.

Sixty years ago, the VEB Zentrales Projektierungs- und Konstruktionsbüro für die Kaliindustrie und den Nichterzbergbau (ZPK) was founded in Erfurt in order to serve as the consultant and engineering partner for the modernization and expansion of production of the 12 potash and 5 rock salt mines in the then German Democratic Republic that resumed production after the Second World War.

From this "pre-predecessor" of the ERCOSPLAN Group of Companies, the Kali-Ingenieurbüro Erfurt (KIB) was formed three years later and it has been located in the office building that was constructed specially for it at Erfurt's Arnstaedter Strasse 28 under various company names since 1956.

Twenty years ago, a management buyout of the Kali-Ingenieurbüro Erfurt led to the founding of the ERCOSPLAN Erfurter Consultingund Planungsbüro GmbH, which has been providing innovative engineering services for the extraction and processing of potash salts as well as for environmental protection in all aspects of potash fertilizer production – since the late 1990s, also internationally – till this day. Today, the ERCOSPLAN Group of Companies has about 200 employees worldwide, slightly less than half of whom are still working at its birthplace in Arnstaedter Strasse 28 in the State Capital of Thuringia, Erfurt.

We would be very pleased to welcome you personally at our double anniversary. In the meantime, we send you our best regards and a friendly "Glückauf!"
